Goodbye Maine!

Here we are getting on the road after signing papers at 9:00 AM. It felt unusual to be at the end of such a long project (and it was not a completely dry farewell). But we are happy to be on the road for the West! We had a good time building our house and sure learned a lot. Closing was a surprisingly brief event. Two years of work closed in about ten minutes? Well, yes. The house is in good hands, and that's a nice feeling.

It was a gorgeous day for saying our goodbyes - brisk, breezy and cold. The Berkshires in Western Massachusetts were stunning...and now we're in Johnstown, NY at the beginning of the Adirondack trail, a scenic route that we won't see much of since we'll be back on the I-90 in the morning.

And Don, we were thinking about you as we connected the dots of your history from Pittsfield, MA through Schenectady...do you know Johnstown?

We (including our cat, Penny) are tired after two days of packing and a long drive...so we'll sign off until tomorrow.

P.S. We picked up a visitor in Belfast - turns out he's going to Point Roberts too. His name is Tango. Tune in for updates and possibly photos of Tango.

Please tell me you didn't pick up a hitch hiker!! We know that you're both smarter than that, no need to put poor Penny at risk ;) Let's seem some pictures of this "tango"... ?
