Tango-ing through NY, PA and OH...

If we were hinting at a mysterious passenger with us on our trip...here is the mystery solved! Tango is our new friend, found at a Belfast toy store and brought with us across country. He's a puppet! :-) Also a surprise that shawn snuck into the front seat of the car on the morning of closing. I've got to admit, he's smooth!

We had a super drive today, despite frequent rain some of which was torrential (right around lunch time when we had to get fixings from the trunk, it was pouring!). The colors in NY, PA and Ohio have been literally jaw dropping. They shared in the summer deluge and that seems to have done wonders for colors. Wow, amazing golds and oranges that linger on the eyes long after you've passed them. Wonderful wonderful color. Not too many reds left, but the oranges and golds are just stunning, pallettes stretching for miles, up and down the hills and ravines. It's like getting a whole second autumn season!

Penny is holding up well in the car. We put her on her leash so she could take a peek out the windows and that seems to have satisfied her curiosity. She just sleeps now. Funny to get into the hotels and watch her roll on the floor in delight and race around. So cute!

Time for dinner and some relaxing. We've had great driving conditions so far despite the rain. Smooth roads and not too crowded. Tomorrow we pass through Sunday, and the sheer luck of passing through it on a sunday makes us happy.

G'night all!

Oh goodness! I'm so glad this travel companion is not of the human variety ;) I imagine he provides you with entertainment none the less! Does Penny enjoy his company? I think if Goose made Tango's acquaintance, he would bite him... he's been very bitey lately ;P
