The two of us are heading out into the city on foot to do some exploring, find a specific natural foods store 3 miles from the hotel and (possibly) sneak a bite to eat. Maybe some tasty ethnic food for lunch? For all of Maine's good qualities, plentiful ethnic food was not one of them.
The lure of stretching out the legs after contiguous days of driving is enough to draw us outside. That the day is sunny and in the mid-50's with lots of activity around the hotel adds to the pleasure of being a temporary pedestrian.
