Typically we trim the Holiday Tree the day after Thanksgiving but since we'll be out of town this year we did it today. We had steady rain rather than snow and it took a little bit of trekking through the woods to find just the right tree (we almost settled on a Western Red Cedar but Jamie eyed a handsome Grand fir).
Our chosen tree stood a good 20' high with all its whirls at the top. A small handsaw was all it took - along with a little maneuvering through the front door - before we had our tallest Christmas tree ever standing upright in the living room!

You couldn't find a bigger tree? That thing is HUGE. It's a beauty all right.
